Originally from Iraq, Maha immigrated to Canada in 1996, and lived and worked in Mississauga for six years before she decided to leave the city to run her own business in Hastings County. It was a big change and required hard work and a leap of faith, but it paid off.
Laura and Mitch met and fell in love here in Canada, after immigrating from Romania and Guyana respectively. They were relatively happy in the city, but both yearned for a simpler rural lifestyle, in which they could spend their time doing the things they love, and not hurry all the time.
